Guest Blogging About My Obsession at Alcide and Other Obsessions

Today I'm scheduled to make a guest appearance at Alcide and Other Obsessions. This is a very cool pop culture blog written by Dominique Eastwick. Dominique has an obvious obsession: Alcide on True Blood, as portrayed by Joe Manganiello. Can you blame her? No, of course not. Look at him.

He's not her only obsession, though. Dominique also has a thing for Karl Urban, the Kiwi actor who plays Bones McCoy in the most recent Star Trek films and played Eomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Dominique also invites other bloggers - many of them my fellow erotica and erotic romance writers - to share their obsessions. Ashlynn Monroe (yes, the Ashlynn Monroe who has a story in Indecent Encounters with me), for example, can't stop thinking about Eric Northman on True Blood.

S. Hampton Sr. is obsessed with Lady Gaga.

This song is ridiculously catchy.

Nulli Para Ora loves Michael Fassbender. And why shouldn't she? He's our beloved Edward Fairfax Rochester.

Me? Well, there's this guy I may have mentioned one or two times before.

See you at Alcide & Other Obsessions!

Evernight Valentine's Snippets Blog Hop: 'Indecent Encounters' Excerpt and #Giveaway

Welcome to Pagan Spirits, the book blog of author Erin O'Riordan (me)! This Valentine's Day, I'm featuring a sexy excerpt from Indecent Encounters, the naughty collection of threesome/ menage a trois stories from Evernight Publishing.

An excerpt from "Post Op" by Erin O'Riordan, in Indecent Encounters:

Max laughed. Resting his hand on my thigh, he leaned over me and kissed Joey’s lips. They didn’t have to tell me the rest of their story; I could see it in their eyes. They kissed deeply and passionately. I could see the love between them.

Then Joey turned his head slightly, leaned in, and kissed me. He tasted just as I imagined he would. Beer and cigarettes. He was a good kisser; I could feel it in my belly. Max’s hand still rested on my thigh. His other hand supported Joey’s back, just inches from where I knew Joey’s beautiful scar to be. I felt the warmth of Max’s body against me, but I lost track of his hands as Joey’s kisses got longer and deeper. Joey’s hand was under my t-shirt, playing with the lace of my bra at first, and then teasing my nipples. I wanted to take off my shirt for him, but didn’t know how to break away.

It was Max who broke away first. He knelt on the floor in front of me. Max untied my shoes and worked them off my feet. He did the same with my socks. Then, gently, he began to work on the buttons of my jeans. I helped him slip them off. Joey pulled my t-shirt over my head. Joey took my face in his hands and kissed me with a fervor I’d only wished for before.

He reached behind me to unhook my bra.

Max, meanwhile, couldn’t wait for me to work my way out of my panties. “Oh, Maggie,” he said, “you’re so soft, and you smell so good.”  He kissed his way up my thigh, then hooked a thumb into the crotch of my panties and pulled them aside.

WIP Wednesday with R.G. Porter

Erin O'Riordan: As I shared last week, the project I'm working on right now is the Sex Tales From West County series with Ken Charles.

Between the time I finish that one and January 31st, I'll be making edits to my short story "Sheep Shifter," in which an adult Alice returns to Wonderland with the help of Carl Jung, discovers a new ability and frees herself to explore her darkest desires. This one does not yet have a definite home.

I'll then be working on another as-yet-unclaimed piece of work, my submission to Melange Books' "Having My Baby" anthology. I'll be dusting off an old, but previous unpublished, short story, adding another thousand words or two to what, at the moment, is a rather brief narrative.

My next priority will be editing a short story called "Aftercare." Its destination is a Breathless Press m/m anthology called Ad-dick-tion Volume 2. It's the continuing story of lovers Maggie, Max and Joey, a triad I introduced in "Post Op," published in Indecent Encounters. The final editorial due date on this one is March 30th.

Then I can begin writing my alternative-history vampire tale for submission to the anthology tentatively titled Vampyres: A History Written in Blood. At the moment, I expect the historical person I'm going to turn into a vampire is Bessie Smith. She will be scheming to get a meeting with George Gershwin.

R. G. Porter: The call of the night drove her to find the truth…

As the darkness continues to crouch upon the lands, Danicayne's nightmares increase. Her visions of the future can't be denied and soon she finds she must leave the safety of her family and find the ones who are lost. It is their past that must be unraveled before the evil consumes the world.

Forced out by the only people he's known, Terrian finds himself on the hunt for the truth of his origin. Accidents and memories haunt him and uncontrolled outbursts of flame and ice are only the beginning of his problems. On the hunt to find out who he is, he awakens more than just what's been forgotten. He finds a mirror image of himself, as well the final key to end the darkness that threatens to engulf the world.

Two paths drawn together by a divine past and a specific purpose - to join the circle that will vanquish the evil once and for all…

Or perish trying.

Spice Up Your Valentine's Day With 'Indecent Encounters'

It's here! Evernight Publishing has just released Indecent Encounters, an anthology of male-male-female menage fiction.

Official book blurb:

"Sometimes a woman needs more than a lover…

Independent, lustful ladies find pleasure and intrigue with more than one man, from a scandalous vacation in Australia, to a forced seduction at a cabin in the woods. A witch needs to break a shameful spell, and an older woman slakes her sexual needs with two younger men. Cougars purr with unrequited desire and werewolves compete for the love of their mate. Satisfaction is just a sigh away as a surgeon bends the rules for her patient, and an over-stressed boss finds more than a little peace with secret admirers.

Find out what wicked delights await you with Indecent Encounters."

There are 8 authors in this anthology: Amarinda Jones, Delilah Hunt, Erin O'Riordan (me!), Pepper Anthony, Ashlynn Monroe, Tessa Monroe, Melissa Hosack and Angelina Rain.

In "Post Op," surgeon Maggie Keller walks in on her patient, Joey, sharing an intimate moment with his roommate, Max. Dr. Maggie can't stop thinking about the gorgeous duo. She bends the rules of doctor-patient decorum to pay them a visit.

Indecent Encounters is $6.50 from Evernight Publishing. A print version is coming soon. View it at http://www.evernightpublishing.com/products/Indecent-Encounters.html (now out of print).

Window Into the Mind of An Erotica Author

I had a most bizarre and rambling dream last night, parts of which were quite sexy. Some of its influences are easy to spot. For example, when I dreamt I was a young woman, walking down the street with a gaggle of hip friends including Courtney Love, that's because I just finished reading Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT Leroy. Courtney Love was a JT Leroy fan, as were Carrie Fisher, Gus Van Sant, and other people way cooler than me.

So anyway, I'm walking down a dusty street with my crew and I stop at a little art boutique. On a spinning metal rack out from there is a painting so beautiful I know I have to have it, no matter what the cost. I don't have any money, so I decide on the spot I'm going to turn a trick to get it. (Remember, JT Leroy was purported to be a street hustler.) Fortunately, the shop owner and I are alone. He looks like Adam Levine. I get him in his back-room office and make my proposal, which he gladly accepts on the condition that he be allowed to not wear a condom. I readily agree, secretly thinking that I'm a bit nasty because I prefer the exchange of bodily fluids to the neatness of condoms. I walk away with my treasure.

The appearance of art in my dream is entirely the fault of JD Busch.

Later, the boutique owner reappears at my house, where I've already hung the painting in the attic. There is a lot of wood in this house: the rafters from the attic, the wooden railing of the stairs. He is either drunk or high, swaying where he stands and asking me questions that don't make any sense. He wants to know if we've had sex, and if so, if I raped him. I don't know how to answer. I feel guilty now.

But I know I shouldn't be feeling guilty, because I'm really just remembering an earlier incident which wasn't my fault. I'd been camping in the woods with Robert Pattinson (I'm obviously dreaming this because of writing another article about Twilight on Sunday). Inside our tent, he'd tried to grope me, though I managed to get him to stop. We ended up swimming in the lake, though, and he drowned.

When the boutique owner reappeared later, he was making out with Adam Lambert. (I did hear "Whataya Want From Me" on the radio yesterday.) The guy-on-guy action can be explained by my having received the cover art for Evernight Publishing's Indecent Encounters anthology yesterday.

My menage story "Post Op" is appearing in there, and the cover features a brunette female smooshed between two hot guys, one of whom has a sexy tribal tattoo. I don't know if La Lambert has ink, but Adam Levine does, despite his Yiddish ethnicity. One might equate the forbidden-ness of tattooed Jews with the impropriety of unprotected sex and prostitution. That's what this dream is about, I suppose: the eroticism of the forbidden. So now you have a little window into how my mind works.
