August 26, 1981: Three-year-old Los Angeles resident Kelly Lynn Keen is attacked and killed by a wild coyote in the driveway of her family’s home. This is the only documented fatal attack on a human being by a coyote. Coyote attacks on humans rarely result in serious injuries.
